Photo Journey of Two Path & Step Renovations

One Charlotte family hired our team for two separate projects. The first was to overlay their existing front yard concrete path and stairs, with natural stone. They were very happy with that experience, so they brought us on for a second project. This time we were to replace the brick steps for their side entrance, with a larger landing, lighted steps and pathway, all overlaid in natural stone to match the front pathway.

We invite you to take a look at the process as the team transforms what was preexisting, into a much more beautiful and functional natural stone hardscape. As you will see, a portion of the original pathway needed to be removed, and re-poured but we were able to use most of the existing concrete as a foundation for the stone, saving the homeowners thousands of dollars.

Note: When we started the side entrance project, we wanted to use the elongated brick that is on their home, for the base of the landing. However this type of brick is no longer available. So our team used a grinder to cut lines into the block structure we built, to replicate the elongated brick. This helped our newly constructed landing look like it was original to the home. Just a little example of the lengths we will go to make a project look just right.
